ABS

ABS Thermoplastic material is a terpolymer combining the strength and stiffness of acrylonitrile and styrene with the ruggedness of butadiene rubber. ABS is well known for its ability to withstand chemicals, heat, and shock. It is considered one of the top thermoplastic resins in hardness, luster, and shielding properties.

ABS is very flexible material that can be used in a wide range of applications. Some of the better known are housing, shielding, packaging, and toys. ABS's plasticizing characteristics make it an excellent choice for high pressure injection molding.

Lomont Molding LLC has been utilizing ABS in their OEM applications for over 35 years. The precision of our molding process has allowed us to manufacture any number of parts requiring the upmost in quality and complexity.

ABS can be combined with these materials to achieve enhanced characteristics:

  • Glass fiber in various percentages
  • Flame Retardants
  • Glass Beads
  • Silicone
  • Carbon Fiber
  • Nickel-Coated Carbon Fiber
  • Stainless Steel Fiber
  • Anti-Static Compounds
  • EMI Shielding with Stainless Fiber
  • Electrical Discharge Compounds

In conjunction with all of these applications, Lomont offers a full range of secondary services designed to finish your project on time without the hassle.
