Meet Lomont Molding’s December EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH, Dan Herring
Dan is one of our Tool Makers here at Lomont. He has been in his current role here for 13 years. Dan has over 40 years of career experience as a tool maker/machinist. In his current role he is active in all areas of our tooling processes both maintaining and building molds.
Dan grew up in Chariton, IA on a farm and went to school in area 11 in Ankeny. He then moved to Cedar Rapids and worked as a tool maker/machinist for two different companies before he found his way here to Mount Pleasant and began his career here at Lomont. He is married and has four children and two grand-children. Outside of work Dan enjoys hunting, fishing, splitting firewood, and spending time with his family.
When asked – Dan explained his favorite thing about his time at Lomont has been getting to learn and use some of the various newer equipment and technology that has been brought into our toolroom especially our CNC equipment.
Dan has proven himself to be a dedicated employee who is known for his reliability and great work ethic. His colleagues have a lot of respect for him and will be the first to praise Dan’s experience and capabilities.
